This Is The Tragic Reason Chris Rock Did Not Respond To Will Smith’s Slap
Will Smith and Chris Rock have been trending after the former assaulted the latter live on television at the recently held Oscars Awards.
Following the assault, Chris Rock did not react nor attempt to fight back and many could have wondered why.
Chris Rock, 57, recently opened up on his childhood experiences as he was constantly bullied.
People reports that this was revealed on a podcast “Fly on the Wall with Dana Carvey and David Spade,” about two months before the incident at the Oscars Awards
Chris Rock said:
“Half of the bullying was because I was just a little guy. Then I got bussed to school and the bullying was because I was little guy and I was black. I was getting double-bullied.”
However, at one point he finally decided to fight back against a bully and his reaction did not end well as the bully ended up being hospitalised.
“I went home, I put a brick in a book bag — this is like a legendary story in my neighborhood — I swung that — and smacked the guy in the face with this brick and stomped on him, Joe Pesci-style, to the point that we thought he might die,” Rock recounted.

According to Chris Rock, what he went through as a child made him bottle up his feelings for sometime.
